But old farmhouses have their down-sides, especially during hurricanes. We have some leaky windows on the side of the house that the wind is coming from. So far, the amount of water coming in hasn't been too bad, but we have not seen a lot of wind or rain yet. I'm keeping plenty of dry towels on hand, and we're hoping that this storm won't drop as much rain as they have been saying.
